I've used Audacity, but it's cumbersome AF, and somehow codes the songs so they won't write to the phone SD card in the album order, even when I put the track number in the title. Plus when I try to write the next file, it tells me me the NEW file with a NEW name has already been written, and if I continue, VLC will write the new mp3 over the existing song. VLC is no help, as when I follow its Convert/Stream menu, it writes ONE mp3 file at a time. Apple Music only IMPORTS music when converting to mp3, so there's no way to put it on my phone. I have lots of music I've already paid for on CD.

The only solution is for me to play my mp3 library from my Android phone via Bluetooth.
